EVENTS
This week the majority of my events have been confirmed for the 2024, including a double header at Salisbury which my wife will join me for and we’ll be staying in hotel. Depending on how the Comic Con goes in October, I may add some more to the roll.
On Saturday I will be in Abingdon, Oxfordshire at what is meant to be a very popular event, however they’re not running it next year as the council is no longer renting out the hall. You watch, this will be a good one.
WORK IN PROGRESS
I’m running THEIR RIGHT TO VENGEANCE through ProWritingAid and I’ve found a check they’ve added for glue words. If a sentence contains too many of these words then it flags up for rephrasing. Hopefully this will remove some of the wordiness my editor often identifies. The only issue is that it’s extended the amount of time it takes to complete. I think I’m about half way through the MS, so there is probably another week left until I kick of the last read through before it’s off to my editor. I had hoped I’d get it all wrapped up before I go on leave at the end of the month.
MARKETING AND PROMOTION
I’m still running Facebook ads for my mailing list and the IN THE END reader magnet. I’m still getting signups and sales are still covering costs and more, most days. I don’t plan to change this until the sign ups drop off.
I’m also still giving away my writing, publishing and marketing book for free in exchange for a review on Amazon and that’s yielded a lovely review and there are promises for many more in the pipeline.
That’s about it for this week. I will catch you on the other side.
