WORK IN PROGRESS
In the space between Christmas and New Year’s Day I managed to complete the final read through of SHATTERED DESTINY, including making a decision over the ending, and now it’s with my wife for proof reading. That should be complete within a couple of weeks then, allowing another three for production, the book should be out in the first week of February.
With my hands now off that project I’ve been spending all of my writing effort on the time travelling sci-fi, and it’s progressing well. Shortly I’ll be at the stage I can look at it critically and see if I think it hits the right notes I aimed for. Overall I want it to be intriguing but I also want it to be casually funny whilst being thrilling at the same time, plus it should appeal to those interested in sci-fi, but not exclusively.
In an idle moment when not in the frame of mind for writing, I figured out that I have 134,000 words across 6 unfinished stories. To be fair, two thirds of those words are in the weather apocalypse novel currently sitting on the shelf ready to continue editing.
Two of the remaining stories are outlines for Agent Carrie Harris non-speculative books. One is a fourth book of the IN THE END series, and the other two are those that I’m actively working on. Oh how I wish I had the time to get them all finished, but then again I know that if I did then I’d just come up with even more ideas, which would mean I would still not have enough time to develop them all!
I haven’t bothered counting the numerous non-fiction projects I started but discarded.
EVENTS
I’ve ordered new materials for the 2024 event season and just yesterday took deliver of a new banner. I have already got a banner but I had a feeling that it put some people off and gave them the wrong impression about my writing. Hopefully this new design will hit the right spot and it’s consistent with everything else I have at my events. Let me know what you think! It looks much more vibrant in person, I can assure you.

MARKETING & PROMOTION
Advertising is going okay but it’s costing me a bomb, so I’m now attempting to figure out which of the adverts are the most efficient. This is a bit of trial and error because the sales are not consistently reporting in the advertising console despite being sure that the majority are coming from that effort.
That’s it for this week. I hope you all had a great break, or at least some time to relax. Catch you soon, and as always, comments and suggestions are very welcome.
GJ,
It all looks good. Just a fun flow for poster for a little continuity:
Crime thrillers Spy action chillers Zombie apocalypse killers
Or something like that. Have a great week. Gary
