WORK IN PROGRESS

Last weekend I completed the first full draft of the combined two parts of LOST AMONGST THE STARS. It’s sitting at just under 60,000 words and I’ll be happy if it doesn’t grow beyond 70,000 as I embellish and focus the story. This week I’m working on what I consider to be the most time consuming and intense edit because it’s all about putting flesh on the bone of the plot I’ve raced to get out of my head, afraid I would lose it. I’m four chapters in with fourteen to go!

Whilst waiting to give blood the other day I decided to re-read what I’d written as the first episode of STOPPING POWER Season Two and it got be all excited for that story again. Maybe I shouldn’t have looked it over as I don’t want to lose focus on my current project.

MARKETING AND PROMOTION

Sales are very slow as I’m not advertising currently, however on Sunday night I did record an hour long interview with a few people from my zombie group that run a podcast. I talk about my books and my writing process, and it was a lot of fun. The time flew. If you want to check it out, here it is!

I made a snap decision on Thursday to do a mass giveaway of my novellas and the first episode of STOPPING POWER as I hadn’t done one in a while. These types of things are great at generating interest in my books. I’ll give away ebooks via BookFunnel so it won’t cost a thing, although I might send out a few physical copies of STOPPING POWER and CAPITAL ACTION to people in the UK, to lower some of the piles I have in the house.
