MARKETING AND PROMOTION

So I’m advertising again…

A fellow author guilted me with their tens of thousands of page reads a day success and all just from having a great series of books, spending $5 a day on Facebook advertising and link dropping. So I decided to give set up a new ad on Facebook. I set my budget to £5 a day, if you remember, I was always doing £10 or more, and I did a few link drops. I have to say, even thought it’s early days, it’s going well. Page reads are up and I’m getting at least one sale a day, but on three out of four days I’ve sold the complete series.

Over the five days I’ve spend £25 and sold £30. It’s not amazing but it’s better than I was doing, plus it’s early days and I’d rather be selling books even if they’re not at a massive profit as at least the ranking goes up and hopefully with it I get more reviews and ratings.

WORK IN PROGRESS

After getting plenty of time writing over the long weekend, I think I’m on the final read through of LOST AMONGST THE STARS before I push it through ProWritingAid. We’ll have to see how much work I have to put into part 2. I know part 1 is ready so I may just have to go through part 2 again. At least I’m always making progress and the manuscript stands at about 68,000 words, which is ideal. That will shrink a little with PRA.

EVENTS

This weekend I will be at Hungerford for an event and the weather is looking pretty windy but I hope that doesn’t put people off. Only time will tell!
