First Novel Prize

Back in November I interviewed Literary Consultant Lorena Goldsmith and we talked about the First Novel Prize. The literary contest which is now in its fourth year is open to unpublished and independently published novelists.

You can find out more details at their website, www.firstnovel.co.uk. The entry fee is £25 and the contest accepts any work of adult genre fiction of 50,000 words or more written in English.

The contest will be judged by leading literary agent Emma Paterson from Aitken Alexander Associates and Ed Wood is Editorial Director at Sphere Fiction.

Along with the prizes of £1,000, £250 and £100, the submitted work will be exposed to leading lights in the publishing world.

If you’re thinking of submitting (I think I just might), then you’ve got until 31st May 2019 to sending in your work. Good luck.
