Personal Update

The big news in my personal life is that we’ve finally booked our family holiday for next year. So now it’s only some 260 days to wait whilst crossing our fingers that all will be well for a trip that has been on hold for two years! If ever I’m feeling frustrated then all I have to do is remind myself that it’s booked in order to cheer myself up.

Black & White Survivor

Buoyed by some recent positive feedback about this book, I decided to do something I’ve been meaning to do for some time, and that was to create a print version of Survivor in black and white. The process took me about ten minutes and I’ve bought 5 author copies to sell on my stalls. The cost of all 5 copies was about the same as the production cost for the colour version!

WORK IN PROGRESS

The Gemini Assignment – An Agent Carrie Harris Action Thriller – The completed copy edit came back on Sunday and I’m about sixty percent through the updates and expect to be completed by the end of the weekend. Hopefully it won’t take me longer than a couple of weeks to complete a read-through and then it’s off the proof reader. This is well on track for release before Christmas.

Regarding the series cover re-design front, I received an email from the designer to say that she has two concept covers ready and is working on the third and final which she’s hoping to delivery next Monday. This is very exciting!

Purple Rain Series – Book 1 – I’ve only had a day working on this since the last blog post, so not much progress here.

James Fisher Series – Book 2 – The review / edit is still rolling on in the background.

Promotion & Marketing

The situation remains the same with advertising, although I currently have IN THE END on a kindle countdown deal for Halloween. I’ll do a more detailed analysis next week when the total month’s sales figures are in, but it’s so tricky to understand what the situation would be like without the advertising in place.

This Saturday I have an online Facebook live session with some fellow authors talking about zombie books, and another interview to produce for the Ops Centre Facebook group.

Sales of merchandise have stalled, apart from to myself, despite the massive interest due to a giveaway in my Fan Club. Perhaps over the coming weeks people will be tempted. I’ll be doing a similar giveaway to my mailing list over the coming days as well.
