MY PUBLISHING JOURNEY – CRANK

The designers came back with the completed cover and marketing materials for THEIR RIGHT TO VENGEANCE, although they had to redo the paperback as it was the wrong size, so I’m pleased to share it with you all here. I’ve included FATE’S AMBITION so I can see them both together.

I’ve already shown it to my mailing list and now I’ve pushed up the pre-order for Kindle and set the paperback up on Amazon. The book is due for release on the first Friday of November. I have a paperback proof on its way and, as always, I can’t wait to see what it looks like.

If you want to check it out, here’s the link.

One of my faithful ARC readers has already come back to me to tell me how much she enjoyed the book. She also told me something I loved and took as a great compliment. She said that if she hadn’t have known who had written the book she would have realised it was mine because of my unique voice.

That’s what publishers and agents are looking for! Not that I’m looking for publishers or agents! I love being in control too much now.

Work is progressing well on the third book and I’m really getting to the point where I need to figure out the bloody title! I will set aside some quiet time shortly to do this. I’m currently running the manuscript through ProWritingAid to clean it up and to point out where I can improve sentence structure.

I’ll start thinking about the cover for book 3 soon.

EVENTS

Last weeks event had a terrible footfall but I managed to cover my costs and make £10 profit. It’s a good job it’s not all about the money yet. Next Saturday I’m at Hungerford and I’ve had both poor and great days there so we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ve decided I will do all possible events at least three times and then take the average profit to see if it’s worth it. This will determine where I book for 2025.

MARKETING & PROMOTION

The restarted Facebook advertising campaign seems to be going well. I have four days of over seven where I have made double figure profit. I’ll review after another week.

That’s it for this week. It’s time for me to crank out some more editing! Comments and suggestions welcomed as always.
