WORK IN PROGRESS

The second book in the Parallel Worlds series is coming along well. I’m trying not to measure the progress of this round in speed but more in the quality of the writing as I add details and make the characters come to life. By either measure I’m pleased with how it’s going and I’m over third of the way through. The word count is ebbing and flowing around the target of 70,000 words.

I’ve reviewed twenty seven chapters of the audiobook and it’s awesome. It’s so good it’s a pleasure to listen to, which is not something I’ve ever said before. I’m waiting for the next chapters to be delivered as I’m told the narrator’s editor is having some technical difficulties, but it shouldn’t be long.

MARKETING AND PROMOTION

I’ve had a nice little flurry of reviews for LATS and I’m at 11 in the UK and 10 in the US with more to come. I even had a fellow author include a review of the book in his newsletter yesterday.

Last week I mentioned a pickup in my sales via Facebook advertising. Well it ran for two days and has continued into September. It’s a great way to start the new month. I wonder how long it will continue!

EVENTS

This weekend I will be at Godalming, an event that has never been any good for me but I’m determined to break the mould this time.
