Personal Update
Phase one of my landscaping project has been completed on our front garden. All the weeds have been cleared and out and the ground covered temporarily in matting to stop them growing back. In a weeks time I take delivery of a pallet of sleepers and I’ll start forming the boundary to contain tonnes of pea shingle and hopefully we’ll end up with a low maintenance garden. Here’s a couple of photos of where I’m at for those of you who are interested.
WORK IN PROGRESS
The final read through and edit of AFTER THE END is completed, thankfully and now it’s with my wife for proofing. Everything is on track for the release date at the end of November, including respectable pre-sales.
The paperback jacket needs a few tweaks but it will be finished today and then I’ll grab a proof through KDP to make sure all looks fine when it’s in my hand.

I’m now re-reading IN THE END and I’m quite shocked to find I’m making adjustments on almost every page. They are all very minor but I’m glad I’ve chosen to go over it again before ramping up my campaign when the series is completed. I’m about half way through so it will be about a week before I’m back writing / editing FROM THE DEAD.
SALES & MARKETING
Sales are steady, if not a little slow, but that’s usual for the middle of the month. I’ve halted the free book campaign for OPERATION DAWN WOLF as I’m getting many downloads but there are no audio book sales from it and no sales of the second in the series, although it is still early. Selling this series is going to take lots more testing!
Reviews are steady too, mostly 3, 4 & 5 stars, which is great and most have been for the audiobooks since that’s where I’ve been concentrating my efforts.
With the slow reintroduction of lockdown measures in the UK I’m wondering if the book events will be able to happen later this year and if they do what they will look like. It’s too early to tell but I’m really excited to get back out there again and meet the public (and sell some of the massive stock I have!)
That’s it for me this week. Catch you soon and as ever, comments and suggestions are welcomed.
